Because Adventures Shouldn’t Stop at Sunset

The SafeBark Story

Me and my dog Titus  moved to San Francisco recently. Things felt different, this was both our first times in a big city. The consistent rush of traffic, clang of street cars, and multitude of cyclists made our walks always an adventure.

On one particular evening a few weeks into moving in, we went for our usual evening walk. Carl (the SF fog) was especially thick that night. A cyclist, probably rushing from a food delivery, emerged from the fog. Their front light was dim, and they hadn't seen Titus's black coat against the dark street. I had to yank back on the leash just as the cyclist swerved. The cyclist shouted an apology as they disappeared into the night.

Titus was his usual oblivious self, but I was shaken. It made me think of how fragile this little dog was. In a matter of moments this animal who has filled my life with joy, companionship, frustrations, responsibility, and love could have been seriously hurt or worse.

There had to be some sort of solution... I scoured the internet for something but the more I researched, the more frustrated I became. Everything seemed so cheap and not worth getting for my little man. I had no idea what was actually a good product or a piece of crap.

So I decided to test all of them. I ordered 8 different products, testing ease of use, durability, battery life, visibility, etc. After a few weeks, I found a winner. But what really sold me was the fact that Titus turns heads, not to say he didn't before :) But now when we walk I hear “oohs and ahhs” and “how cute” and most importantly, people can see him coming from a mile away, keeping Titus safe.

Now I am giving you the best collar I found at the best price I can get. My goal is to give you peace of mind that you are making the right choice for your friend and an honest look at the product.

Thanks,

Jackson
